Frequently Asked Questions
How to shoot harder in hockey and how to improve hockey shot power both start with technique, not just strength training. Our Snap Shot, Wrist Shot, Slap Shot, Advanced Snap Shot, and Backhand Shot NeuroStreams use hockey shooting drills built from elite players’ motion capture data, so you improve hockey shot velocity and accuracy through correct mechanics first.
Yes. Visual Reps sharpen hockey hand eye coordination by training your motor system, and the onboarding, tracking, and decision cues built into each NeuroStream support broader hockey IQ training, by making your movement skills more automatic, allowing you to make better decisions in the game.
VISYN functions as a sports visualization app for motor skill development and includes observational learning. Beyond a single golf & hockey focus training or pre-performance routines tool, it’s built for daily sports mental conditioning: helping you show up primed, whether you’re using it during warmups or the night before a big game.
Visual Reps are a new and effective way to learn sports technique for increased performance and are the core of NeuroStream Training, a true form of visual motor learning. Reps is short for repetitions. Training with Visual Reps is similar to training via physical reps. Visual Reps use the untapped power of your visual system, allowing you to practice in your head before you physically practice, accelerating motor skill acquisition for golf and hockey alike.
There are two components to our Visual Reps: 1) engineered watching, and 2) advanced mental imagery. We have applied over 50 of what we call neuroscience factors to our NeuroStreams so that you get a physical like training effect from watching alone, hence we call it engineered watching. Advanced mental imagery includes visual mental imagery we call Virtual Echo and kinesthetic mental imagery we call Soma Sense, for both form and intended outcome of a movement skill, true mental imagery for athletes in practice. The watching component and our software guides and controls the mental imagery. Each component of Visual Reps provides a physical like training effect, and together they are even more powerful.
With Visual Reps you can train anywhere, anytime, any condition, whether that’s golf training indoors or squeezing in reps between hockey practices.
People of all ages who believe in the power of the visual system, want a holistic approach, and have an elite mindset. VISYN is first focused on golf and hockey, so golfers and hockey players currently use the training, with more sports planned.
We are all used to looking in a mirror and effortlessly mapping the appearance of left-handed actions onto our right-handed body (or vice-versa for lefties). As such our brain has a lot of experience with leveraging the symmetries of our body to make sense of movement information from images of human forms regardless if they are performing the motion in an opposite-handed way from the way we do it. And neuroscience backs this up. You can learn from righties or lefties regardless of what handedness you favor.
Yes, other sports planned include tennis, baseball, soccer, skiing, and more, along with recreational sports and physical fitness like yoga and weightlifting, all built on the same cognitive sports training foundation that powers sports skill acquisition across any movement skill.
